Basketball is a brotherhood

Basketball has been always part of my life. My brother and I used to play everyday in our front yard when we were kids, and I used to beat him everytime. He did beat me twice, one was when I had chickenpox, and the other one was legit.  When I got in high school, my classmates and I would play nearly everyday when we were in 3rd and 4th year. By our senior year, we were playing 1-100 games and some of those games would take three hours to finish. Some games were even played when some were wearing combat boots. No wonder out ankles are pretty much shot. We’ve gone on to be bankers, marketing geniuses, artists, photographers and DJs… anything but professional athletes.

Fast forward to 6 years since high school, we are forming an ABL team against our high school batchmates. We’ve come a long way from our skinny days, but all said, basketball is indeed a brotherhood.
